LaDelle Maxine Benson, 81, of San Diego went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 4th, at 9:40 a.m. in her board and care home in La Mesa after a long battle with COPD and Lung Cancer. She was born in 1935 in Hurley, South Dakota. She attended nursing school in Yankton, South Dakota, where she received her RN degree. She had a lifetime career as a Psych Nurse in multiple hospitals. She ended her career developing and running her own Home for Alzheimer's residents.
LaDelle is survived by her three children, Mitchell, Kelly (Mark), and Jim, along with six Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.
LaDelle was preceded in death by her husband Lorry and her son Joel.
She was a very loving and caring mom. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and decorating her home and planning family gatherings. She spent her last few years in a board and care enjoying her visits with her kids and grandkids.
