Ms. Lani as every sales associate at the airport called her...but for me she was "Ate " (big Sister) Lani . Ate Lani was the nicest and calmest person in every situation I had the pleasure of working with. I will always remember her with her pen and notepad when visiting every gift shop at the airport and jotting down all those tasks that need to be taken care of for either a big visit from the bosses or the CEO's . She was truly a hardworking person. I'm going to miss her . My deepest sympathy for your loss, sharing your sadness as you remember Ate Lani...

Lani was a woman that came in and changed the game where ever she went. I only knew her for a few years but it felt like a life time! I will truly miss her and the funny pictures we took,  always making her laugh & her calling me a crazy funny woman and our airport talks and the people we knew & talks about Filipino food well food in general lol and families, her asking what else ( if you worked with her you knew lol ) her making jokes about me getting pregnant and her watching the baby sadly she wont be able to watch him. I miss her talking about me taking her to different places in Mexico and her talking and showing pictures of her baby ( grandson) I know she's in heaven living her best life looking down on us telling us not to be sad but happy she's no longer in pain. You will truly be missed little lady Lani

I had the joy of knowing and working with Lani, first at Host at the San Diego Airport and then later at the Science Center. She was an amazing woman, always smiling and kind. She was exceptionally good at her job and it was always a pleasure to work with her. I will miss her.  I send my heartfelt sympathies to her family and everyone who loved her.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Lani for about 35 years.  She was a colleague, friend and confidant. To say she was a hard worker is and understatement. The success the businesses she managed had were directly related to her actions. Yet, she was so humble and always gave credit to those around her. She was a gentle, loving spirit who deeply cared for her family, friends and coworkers.  I will carry her with me always.

From the moment I met Lani, I knew we would work well together.  She inspired me to be a better person, a better employee, and a better leader. Lani always made me laugh and encouraged others to not take life so seriously. She was generous with her advice and time, besides work. She will not be forgotten, and I am a better person for knowing her.


Lani was a shining spirit.  She always came to work full of energy and plans.  She was like the whirlwind.
I loved having her as part of the Paradies team.  She was a terrific leader and her team loved her.
Lani contributed so much to the success of the associates and the shops she oversaw.
Lani was a caring and loving friend, mother, wife, grandmother and so much more.
You are now free of pain.  

I worked with Lani first at the San Diego Airport, we shared an office that was so tiny we only had inches between our chairs. She trained me in all things and then I took  it from there. She was a fun  loving, happy, sometimes goofy and sweet soul. She brought me with her when she moved to The Fleet, and again trained me and helped me to grow my position. She was my boss, but also a caring and compassionate friend. She was incredibly generous and was absolutely IN LOVE with her grandson Jeremy!! I will miss her greatly! I think I will miss her Laugh the most! Nicki Sennett
