grandmother. She was born on March 6, 1930 to Alfonso Pingol and Victoria Aguilar, and
passed away peacefully in her home in National City, CA on October 2, 2022, at the age of 92
years old.
Leodegaria married the love of her life, Rufino Brionez Magtoto and together they had 12
children: Jose, Teresita, Zenaida, Ofelia, Romeo, Renato, Miriam, Angelito, Alexander, Danilo,
Victoria, and Nenita. With the help of her eldest son, she immigrated to the US on October 10,
1980. In turn, they brought over each of the siblings, who created beautiful lives and families in
San Diego, Seattle, Las Vegas, and Florida.
Leodegaria was the matriarch of the Magtoto family. She loved shopping, cooking and
gardening, helped raise a lot of her grandkids, and provided a place for her family to commune
every weekend at “Grandma’s house.” Her legacy includes her 25 grandchildren and 9 great
grandchildren, who will continue on to live in her love and memory.
