

Leovigildo was raised with three siblings. He had two brothers, Andreas and Bienvenido, and one sister, Corazon. Leovigildo was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
Leovigildo had a fairly happy high school experience, making the critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from high school in Pasay where he earned his high school diploma. He later attended vocational school.
On November 21, 1963 Leovigildo exchanged wedding vows with his sweetheart, Adelaida Abenes Flores in Bauang, La Union, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Leovigildo was committed to making his new family happy.
Leovigildo worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Leovigildo was blessed with five children, sons, Ramsey Leo and Richard, and daughters, Dianne, Debbie, and Rachel. Another blessing for Leovigildo was the gift of his children-in-laws, Marci- Ilene Andrada, Melencio Guerrero II, Marianne Andrada, and Emerlito Tanciatco as well as his five grandchildren, Morgan, Jacob, Melencio- Michael III, Zachary Francis, and Aiden Leo.
Fortunately, Leovigildo enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Leovigildo worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his careers. His primary occupations were serving for the United States Navy and then the United States Postal Service. He was employed for 20 years by the US Navy where he was Plank Owner for the USS Brooke, and was employed for over 28 years by the US Postal Service. Leovigildo always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Leovigildo enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were enjoying the simple things in life, such as, working in his yard where he could grow fruits and vegetables, learning by reading books and the newspaper, he was also known for enjoying art and being a talented artist himself. Most of all, he genuinely enjoyed spending time with and taking care of his family.
Leovigildo was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so. Tops on his list were watching his home baseball and football teams, The San Diego Padres and San Diego Chargers.
Sadly, Leovigildo passed away on September 15, 2010 at the VA Hospital in La Jolla, California. He is survived by his wife, Adelaida F. Andrada; children, Ramsey F. Andrada, Dianne A. Guerrero, Richard F. Andrada, Debbie A. Tanciatco, and Rachel F. Andrada; as well as his grandchildren and many other family and friends. Services were held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Leovigildo was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Leovigildo was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person. He was a romantic at heart to the love of his life, Adelaida. He was a patient man and a strong fighter and was a vital part of everyones lives. Leovigildo leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Leovigildo P. Andrada.
