Keane was so kind, thoughtful, and always filled with gratitude.  He was smart, witty, and always made us laugh.  We admire his unwavering faith in God.  We are blessed to call him our brother and friend. We will miss him dearly.

Lester Keane or “Ken” was one of my best buds and like a little brother to me. He had a  huge heart and would be there for you at a moment’s notice. We shared many laughs, good times and especially random moments together, which we called “Funky Expeditions “ All always remember him for his spontaneity and willingness to be “down for whatever “ kind of attitude. Most importantly, I’ll remember Ken’s devotion to his duties in the INC. His faith was solid and you can always count on him to lead by example and to share his wisdom to others. We always quoted famous movie lines from Coming to America and Die Hard just for laughs. My favorite line for him “Happy Trails!!”  Rest easy “Buhby”

I remember growing up seeing Kuya Keane as one of my Children’s Worship Service (CWS) Teachers. Fast forward to 2019 when I returned to my home local
Congregation, I had the blessed chance to teach alongside him as a fellow CWS Teacher. This is not a goodbye, but a see you later, and I’ll always remember our purpose in leading the future leaders of the Church of Christ in our Children’s Worship Service!

I had the pleasure of working with Lester.  He always had a smile, positive attitude, and big heart.  His caring came through, in so many ways, with his coworkers and clients.

I am so sorry for such a huge loss. Lester and I used to work together when we were in IHSS. He was one of the most knowledgeable workers the program had and the nicest and most kind person to everyone. He will be terribly missed in AIS. My prayers are with his family during this difficult time.



Such an amazing soul to have the pleasure of working with. I don’t think anyone can perform an intake/interview as calm, clear and patient as Lester. He was such a conversationalist and considerate person. Always having such a happy and bright attitude at work! We lost a good one but were blessed to know him, never forgotten.

We will always remember him as the "kind and jolly Keane", because that's what I've always heard about him from our lola, Mamang, Kuya and Uncle. Too sad that I only met him when he was still small and haven't met him personally growing up. I just want to remember my dear cousin with his smile.  I know that he is in a better place now. Been blessed to supervised him for almost 3 years in his social worker career. Will miss this good guy. This picture was taken after he promoted to another position within AIS as he volunteered to help in the Aging Summit event 2019.

Keane got me to love this morning radio show, “The Show” so much that we took time off of work to meet the cast! Points for you if you can remember Keane’s P1 name. 

I spent a good part of my twenties hanging out with Keane. He was a reliable source of jokes but also a good friend to run to for advice. I am so grateful he reached out and we were able to catch up, talk about our current lives, and his condition. He has always been a good friend to have, and will truly be missed! 

From growing up together on the RV, to going on adventures together, to becoming CWS TEACHERS together, Keane will always be remembered with such fond memories and such love. He has finished his race so bravely and courageously.

Such a caring man and gentle soul. Regardless of if it was listening to the kindness and unconditional concern in his voice while helping people on the phone or laughing about comic books and movies with me, he always found a way to make me smile. With a profound respect and admiration I send my condolences to Lester's family. He is a true gift to this world and I will miss him deeply.

From skydiving to traveling all over the world, Kuya Keane truly embodied what it meant to live like you were dying. No matter how long we went without seeing or talking to each other, he never forgot to greet me for my birthday every year. He would go out of his way to deliver me a gift without ever expecting anything in return. I’ll never forget coming home from 6th grade camp only to find out he would take me to Disneyland the very next day, or how he allowed me to live out my 7-year-old dream of seeing the Backstreet Boys live! Thank you Kuya Keane for setting an example of what it means to put others first!! We love and miss you ♥️

Although we did not see each other often, I always saw  Brother Keane in different chapters in my life. From my CWS days to Binhi Days, until we were both KADIWA.
Throughout all those years, Brother Keane was a very upstanding and respectful man. Positive vibes all the time.

My sincere condolences to Lester's family.  I worked with him at AIS and we used to discuss Mandolorian, Comic Con, and Other interests.  He shared his faith and inspiring messages with me and others.  I will always remember his positivity and kindness, truly one of a kind.  Prayers that you will find Peace with his memory.

I worked in El Cajon with Lester for the county and he always gave me the best advice on how to better support our elderly customers, but also how to be better and happier worker.
