Lilia was born in the Philippines on December 14, 1937, she passed away peacefully on April 2, surrounded by the love of her family. Her life was a testament to quiet strength, enduring compassion, and a deep devotion to those she held dear.
As the second eldest of nine children, she naturally embraced a life of responsibility and care, always placing family at the center of everything she did. She carried these values into her own home, where she became a loving and devoted mother to Arleen Stuart (Bill), Arnold Alagar, Alison Herburger (Mike), and Alan Alagar (Vicki). Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren—Brendan, Trevor (Thea), Cameron, Ryan (Ruby), Tyler (Lexie), Kyle, Lauren, Jason, and Dylan—each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Teo Aston and Tristan Arsenio Stuart, Milani Lilia Herburger, and one on the way, Arsenio John Herburger, a beautiful reminder that her love will carry on for generations to come.
She is survived by her siblings Susan Kagaoan Tayag, Evelyn Kagaoan, Cesar Kagaoan, and Purita Kagaoan, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering support. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Arsenio Allas Alagar; her parents, Capt. Apolinario Kagaoan and Mrs. Purificacion Rubio-Kagaoan; and her siblings Nieves Kagaoan Gan, Erlinda R. Kagaoan, Fe Dahlia Kagaoan Adriano, and Dr. Edgardo R. Kagaoan.
She will always be remembered as a cherished, loving, and hardworking woman whose kindness touched all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her gentle spirit and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
