Logan McFadyen Iltis born Virginia Beach, VA, 22nd March, 1996 to his parents Diana Louise Iltis from Paris Maine, and Derek Keith Iltis from Kinlochard, Scotland. At the age of 3 months Logan, and family moved from Virginia to San Diego, CA where Dad finished his last four years in the United States Navy and mom went to work as an Operating Room nurse at Scripps, Balboa Naval Medical Center and ultimately Scripps Mercy in San Diego.
Logan attended school at Imperial Beach Elementary and Friendship school in Imperial Beach. He was loved by all at school and had multiple admirers and friends. Logan was a frequent traveler and visited such far off places as Alaska, Mexico, Maine, and many of the States throughout the United States of America. Logan had a ready smile and a beautiful laugh that made everyone around him who heard join in. His playmates at his home included his sleeping companions - our 4 cats -and our 4 Labradors two of whom will be with him in his journey. His siblings, Trevor Oliver Iltis, age 13 and sister Alissa Rose Iltis, age 8 will miss him dearly.
Logan loved being outdoors and loved his frequent walks around the neighborhood. He loved being outside and enjoyed the CA weather and sea breezes. Logan was loved by all who knew him including all the staff at Western Health & Naval Medical Center San Diego who took such good care of him.
His favorite baseball team was the Boston Red Sox; his favorite football team the San Diego Chargers. He loved Country Music, massage, and lots of tickling , hugs and kisses. Logan was as tough as nails and would have made a great US Navy deep Sea Diver. He rarely voiced a complaint. He was a gift from God sent down to teach us all a valuable lesson; that love knows no boundaries and parenthood is a privilege.
Logan will be sorely missed by his family & friends but we should all know he now sits at the right hand of God and the left of Jesus (good place to be). Join us in celebrating his life and death - simply another journey onwards.
