Lola Leora Massena

Lola Leora 'Lee' Massena age 92 passed away peacefully on January 13th 2023 in her home in Lakeside.

Lee was born in Oklahoma and came to San Diego at a young age. She graduated from San Diego High School and up until recently always attended the reunions.

She was married to Sherman 'Rich' Massena for 67 years. They loved traveling and mom mentioned her favorite trip was to Ireland, Wales and Germany with her son and daughter-in-law.

Lee worked 25 years for Union Bank as Operations Manager. She was adored by her employees and customers alike!

She is survived by her son Rich Massena and his wife Ellen Massena, her daughter Sharman Wilson and her husband Bob Wilson. And mom's greatest joy was her two grandkids and her great grandkids, Sharman Russell, her granddaughter and her husband Andrew Russell (both doctors) and their children Emily, Sarah and Josh. Rob Wilson her grandson and his wife Jessica Wilson (yes both also doctors) and their children Robert, Jack and George.

Over the last few months of her illness she loved reminiscing about all the good times in her life. We will be left with a lifetime of cherished memories. Mom, you certainly had a life well lived!

Mom wanted the following added to her obituary: "Say I was a Gambler (once a month to the casinos with her sister Geneva and dear friend Ella), a Red Hat and a life long Democrat"!
