Lourdes “Ludy” Moquia Hiday was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her love ones on January 1, 2022 at the age of 71.
She was born in Leyte, Philippines to Concepcion and Ladislao on February 21, 1950. She is the eldest of 18 siblings and survived by her sisters: Wendy, Terrie, Nila and Nelly. She met her husband, Robert, during one of his deployments in the Navy. Together, they had four children: Dennis, Merwyden, Jennifer and Lisa. They were married for 49 years.
Lourdes lived like she was young—full of life. She loved cooking and bringing her family together with food. If you needed something, she had it. If she wasn’t at home, she was at her second home, Bingo! She loved her 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren very much. Spoiled them to the max! She was known to them as “Nana”.
A funeral service is scheduled for January 20, 2022 at 11:30am at Glen Abbey Memorial Park & Mortuary at 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. To honor her, please wear her favorite color yellow.
