I've known Lucas and his family for over 25 years.  I meet Lucas though his son and my good friend Elias. One of the memories I have of Lusas is that for many years we worked at Holiday Tree Farms together.  Every time we saw each other,  I'd yell out Lucas and he'd yell back Fronk and we give each other a big hug. Lucas was a good man and I was honored to have known him.  

Part of living is unfortunately having to face this "tragos amargos" that life is going to throw our way. I literally grew up close to the Lopez family (in East LA), staying over weekends and sometimes weeks at a time. Lucas ALWAYS  made me feel not only welcomed, but part of the family. I actually got to know him in a more personal way as time went by, We enjoyed watching the Lakers, and actually playing b-ball at the park, our "famous" team that we have so many awesome memories that every time I'd see him we always talked about it. I loved the way "his way" he would always tease me about the way I'd shoot the ball, " tu tirito" I can almost see him doing it. Whenever I had I chance to see him now that i reside in Mexico, it was a blast. We'd  always ended up hanging out, it   always felt good to see my old friend. I'm gonna miss you, that's for sure, you were there for me in so many ways,  never judging me no matter what I did. (Mostly me and Elias, my partner in crime).

Although we were neighbors, we really we're family... because that's how he treated us.
He always had a smile 💕 
Lucas didn't know English and Marvin didn't know Spanish, they had their own language, they were Compadres 💕
Lucas, will be missed by all of us, but I personally find comfort in knowing that we have OUR guardian angel 😇 watching over all of us.
My prayers are for the family that God Comfort you and keep you strong 🙏🏽

I will always remember my Father in Law as a very Strong man that had a lot of life still left in him.  He was always very hard working.  He always made me feel loved which meant a lot to me.  I remember him always being silly making people laugh with his sneezes.  They were the best and everyone would stop whatever they were doing and start laughing.  He also would dance and make everyone laugh as well.  I am really going to miss him!  May he Rest in Peace and I hope to see him one day again!
Don Lucas, lo quiero mucho y lo voy a extrañar muchisimo!!  

My grandpa was the coolest grandpa ever ask for,  he always made us laugh. When me and my cousins were younger, he’ll hit us as a joke, I always see him working, I want to say I’ll miss him and love him, I’m glad Valerie got to know him too
