Luis R. Posas Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 24th in Chula Vista, CA. Born in Gen. Trias, Cavite, Philippines as the second child to Luis B. Posas Sr. and Magdalena R. Posas. He graduated from FEATI University, Manila, Philippines with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He and his family immigrated to the U.S. on Oct 11, 1986. He was dedicated to his career up to his last job working for the City of San Diego where he retired from.
Luis was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He cherished time with his family and friends. We will love and miss him until we reunite with him one day.
Luis is survived by his wife of 59 years Silangan, “Cely”; his children (Eppie, Tim (Ansel), Bill, Ruth, and Myra/Joelle); siblings (Lourdes, Luz and Leonides); nieces and nephews; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
