Our beloved, Luisa Alindada Fabian was born on July 24, 1929 in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, to Simeona Alindada and Andres Fabian. Coming from a strong devout Christian family, she was baptized Roman Catholic as an infant and also received her childhood sacraments. She attended school in the province of Nueva Vizcaya and graduated from Solano High School in 1949. Schools were temporarily shut down due to the second World War and she eventually graduated at the age of 20.
Because Luisa lost her mother as a teen, she stepped in at an early age as the home maker of the family. She willingly and lovingly took care of her father and siblings. She nurtured her loved ones by not only taking care of the household but also managed one of the family grocery stores in the neighborhood. She made sure the store remained lucrative so her siblings could continue on for their college degrees.
Luisa’s favorite past times included cooking and sewing. She did so well with the needle and thread she also made a living as a known seamstress while attending the family store. She enjoyed watching movies and loved to shop for clothes, jewelry and make up. When she arrived in the United States on January 16, 1987, Luisa relied on her passion for care giving to take care of young children for family and friends in Hawaii and California. Luisa treasured spending time with her friends at the Kimball Senior Citizen Center in National City, CA where she enjoyed years of exercising, dancing, art and fellowship.
Luisa departed this life on July 14, 2019 in San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Orlando and Eleazar and her half-siblings; Consuelo, Maxima and Benjamin. She leaves to cherish her memories, her two youngest siblings; Virgilio Fabian and Paz Fabian Herrera.
