Born on January 20, 1946, Manny lived a full life colored by a myriad of experiences that shaped the person he became. As a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend, he touched the lives of many with his kindness and will be remembered for the profound impact he had on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Manny hailed from the Philippines and spent his years navigating the unpredictable currents of life. He studied hard both in the Philippines and after moving to the United States to pursue a degree in electric engineering. He labored tirelessly for his family, being the go-to person for all things having to do with technology, electronics, cooking, and gardening. He dedicated his life to his many loves, including his family, friends, and nursery leaving a lasting legacy.
Family was at the center of Manny's life. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Mercado Reyes, son-in-law, Ray Reyes, granddaughter, Rowena Joy Mercado Reyes, and brothers, Danilo Mercado and Edgar Mercado. He is also survived by additional family and friends, who will cherish the memories of his devotion and the countless moments of shared laughter, love, and unspoken understanding that defined the essence of our bond. Manny was preceded in death by his father and mother: Eligio and Arsenia Mercado, his brothers: Nestor Mercado and Remigio Mercado, and his wife: Joy Mercado.
