The 6th daughter to Josefa Mendoza and Eladio Espitia. She was born in Santa Barbara Ca. and at the age of 2 relocated to Tijuana, Mex. She was an excellent student while attending Colegio La Paz, in Tijuana, Mex. She dedicated some of her time preparing children for their first communion. There the nuns, who were delighted with her dedication, invited her to join the convent.
Margarita soon began her own family. She was blessed with eight children: Margaret, Jose, Maria, Juan, Antonio, Alfredo, Francisco, and Sylvia. With the same love she had for her children, she opened her heart and home for her niece and nephew, Cathy and Ernesto. Her love and generosity extended far beyond her family to included neighbors and members of the community.
Margarita enjoyed creating many crafts like beautiful ceramic pieces, crocheting, baking, and decorating cakes. Her favorite past times were singing and playing Bingo with her family and friends. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. Always cheerful and enjoying a good joke.
Mother to everyone, she will be greatly missed.
Celebration of her life, and remembrance, will be held after the funeral on the 17th at the Cesar Chavez Park - please join us
