Mrs. Maria Pilar Garcia is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Garcia was also known as Leonor and Pilar. She was born in Tijuana B.C. in 1933. She was the last survivor of five siblings of the Murillo family.
She married at a young age and was blessed with three children. While living in Tijuana she worked for the Red Cross assisting medical doctors. Because of her determination for a better life for her children she began the procedures to become a United States Permanent Resident. This allowed for her grandchildren to be the first born in the United States. In addition, because of hardships she experienced in life made her a conservative investor and worked hard to provide for her children.
May we all encounter everyday with the same drive, and appreciation, she had. Her hope was that all her loved ones are safe, healthy, and most importantly, live in peace. May her best be our light and darkness and her passing make everyone hug a little tighter, laugh a little louder, and give a little more. Her life will drive our dreams to become a reality. She is with us now more than ever and will always be one of the Pioneers of our family’s American dream. God Bless her and the memories she left with us always. May she rest Peacefully in Paradise.
