Maria de Jesus Piñones was born in Autlán de la grana (Navarro), Jalisco, Mexico to Maria and Pedro Gonzalez. Raised in a strict household with limited educational opportunities, Maria built a life defined by resilience, strength, faith, and unconditional love.
In 1950, she came to San Diego, where she met and married the love of her life, Hector Peña Piñones. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, tradition, and family.
Maria was the proud mother of four children: Ludivina (deceased), MaryLou, Victor, and Hector, all of whom loved and cared for her. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and she played a special role in helping raise her eldest grandson like one of her own children.
Her love extended beyond family, embracing the children of friends as her own and making everyone feel welcomed and cared for.
Maria was known for her strong personality, fierce love, and unwavering devotion to those she cared for. She spoke her mind, protected the people she loved, and created a warm and loving home for all around her. She was also an amazing cook whose meals brought family and friends together and created lasting memories.
Maria loved life, family, friends, and her Lord. Her strength and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Until we meet again.
