Marian Frances Guertin passed away peacefully on March 1, 2015, at the age of 90. Marian was born in Corsicana, Texas, on March 23, 1924. Raised in the country, she developed a love for the important things in life. She later moved to San Diego, California, and met and married Lawrence V. Guertin.
Being a Navy wife, she traveled extensively and lived in Rhode Island, Texas, Guam, Hawaii, Virginia, and California. As a young woman she worked in the photo industry, developing photos for Kodak. She was very artistic and painted natural-looking color onto black and white photos (before the time of color photos).
Raising five children kept her busy but she also enjoyed cooking, gardening, art, pets, ceramics, reading literature, and crocheting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Marian is survived by five children, Judith Guertin, Barbara Zwigtman, Lawrence Guertin, Jr., Elaine Perrine, and Rebecca Guertin; five grandchildren, Jennifer Guertin, Angela Guertin, Bryan Perrine, Evan Perrine, and Nicole Gray. She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Guertin.
Marian's family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring, compassionate and dedicated staff of Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Granbury, Texas.
