Mario had a very special relationship with his family. He shared a very special relationship with his mother because of this he was continuously told that he was a mama's boy. They would take walks around the lake when he needed her advice. He would tell her on a daily basis, "Mom I love you, have a good day." He would say his father was his best friend. He loved both his parents dearly. Mario's sisters, Sandra and Elisa, helped raise him. So, they were everything to him. He could not go two days without calling them to see how they were doing. Mario was a role model to his younger brother Adrian and loved his little sister Sonia's baking. He truly appreciated Hilda, his stepmother, for always taking care of his precious dog, Gotti Boy. His niece, Cynthia, was like a sister because they grew up together. Gisabella the newest addition to the family was his ray of light, he cried when he held her for the first time. Mario also had a very special relationship with his grandfather, Leon. He would look to him for advice, and spent many hours with him every day. He loved his Grampa. Mario had many uncles, aunts, and cousins that he loved dearly. He would often say to his mother how much they all meant to him and how truly blessed he was.
Mario's interests helped to form the person that he was. Mario enjoyed music, making beats, spending countless hours in records stores buying records, and snowboarding. His first love was basketball, which he enjoyed during his junior high and high school years. He loved to read the Bible and self-help motivational books. All of this impacted the positive person that Mario was. He could always be counted on to offer a positive perspective or inspirational quote.
Mario texted his mother a profound quote last July which she wanted to share today,
"When you hold resentment toward another you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free".
Everyone's life is the sum total of all the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Mario was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To the family and friends who knew him best. Mario will be remembered as an exceptional person.
