Mario A. Rodriguez

Mario Arturo Rodriguez lovingly known by his family and friends as “Prieto”, “Nani” and “Mar” was born on October 27, 1993 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Jose Trinidad and Georgina Rodriguez. He was later raised in El Cajon, California alongside his step-father Edward Meda and six siblings Joseph, Jose T., Juliana, Joshua, Jordyn and Jessica.

Mario attended and graduated from West Hills High School where he played on the Freshman and Varsity Football teams.

The Catholic Religion for Mario was a vital part of his upbringing. He received the three Holy Sacraments, Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Mario enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in a number of activities. The ones that made him happiest were weight lifting, horseback riding, bowling and hanging out with his friends. Mario was always happy and willing to share his interests with others.

Mario Arturo Rodriguez passed away on June 14th, 2012 in San Diego, California at the age 18. He is survived by his mother Georgina; step-father Edward Meda; sisters Juliana, Jordyn and Jessica; brothers Joseph, Jose and Joshua. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on June 20th, 2012. He was later laid to rest at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego, California.
