Martin Ramirez Samson

Martin was born in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines in August 1935 to Luisa Ramirez and Angel Samson. He married Consuelo Tamoria in October 1961 and had two children, Olivia and Ofelia. Martin and his wife had a rice store in the Olongapo Public Market for over 30 years. In 1990, he and his wife came to the United States and settled in California with his daughter's family.

Martin loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly, and would be seen playing and laughing with them often. He enjoyed watching baseball, going to the casino, and fishing at the Redondo Beach Pier.

Martin is survived by his two children, Olivia Dela Cruz and Ofelia Alejo; seven grandchildren, Donnie Dela Cruz, Diane Dela Cruz, Niki Miller, Dennis Dela Cruz, Demmie Dela Cruz, Theodore Alejo, and Jordan Alejo; nine great-grandchildren, Kathleen Dela Cruz, Dheric Dela Cruz, Brandon Dela Cruz, Caiden Dela Cruz, Johan Hizon, Kyrus Hizon, Elliott Miller, Cody Dela Cruz, and Oliver Miller; children-in-law, Roselo Alejo; and grandchildren-in-law Erma Dela Cruz, Travis Miller, and Grace Dela Cruz.

They all love and miss him very much.

A visitation for Martin will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Magnolia Room, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A graveside service will occur Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
