Mary Lou Ashley

Mary Lou Ashley, long time resident of Fairfield, California, died on May 31, 2015. She was 89 years old. In 2013 she relocated to Chula Vista, California. She is survived by her husband John Ashley with whom she has been married for 69 years, and her son Bradley Ashley. Also survived by her brother Lawrence Forige, sister-in-law Teresa and sister-in-law Nancy. She was preceded in death by her mother Petra Forige Fierros Barrera, step father Ramon Barrera, brother Alex Fierros and sister Isabel Fierros. Nieces Mary Lou Bratt, Cecilia Jaimes, Liz Ramirez, Rebecca Arrona and nephews Michael Forige, Lawrence Forige Jr., Alex Forige, Robert Fierros, Frank Fierros and Jessie Fierros. Cousins Bertha Lopez, Carmen Gonzales, Ray Gonzales, Sunny Rodriguez, Summer Colotario and Peter and Yolanda Serrano. There are additional countless grand nieces and nephews. Spiritual grandmother, aunt, sister to numerous ones.

She attended meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 68 years and was active in her faith for many of those years. Many know of her gifts of quilts and baby blankets for many newborn babies. Others remember her wedding cakes and special event cakes that she provided for these grown-up newborn babies. She will be missed by many.

Memorial will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 70 Walnut Drive, Chula Vista, California 91911 at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday June 13, 2015. Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, California 91902 is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private.
