Mike was one of the kindest men I've ever met. I had just moved to SoCal and became a new Believer at NCPC.  There was always a sense of peace I felt when we would engage in conversation at the coffee & donut hole island after service. It is difficult to express my appreciation for his simple kindnesses and words of wisdom in the midst of my many trials as a single mom and learning to walk with the LORD.  I didn't understand it at the time, but I do now. Jesus radiated through him. 

Sorry I could not attend his memorial as I was out of town, but my heart was there.  What a welcome he must have had when he entered into the glory of Christ!  Praise the LORD this is not good-bye ~

Mike Dalrymple had a unique attribute that always made you feel like you were  the most important person that he was speaking to!  His eye contact was incredible and the personal touch made you feel at home.  Its no wonder he was so successful during his life and career!  We were blessed to know him.

We will miss Mike in spite of the space since we last shared a donut hole with him after church.  He was a fixture in our family's spiritual growth.

Mike, aka. Mr. Donut-Hole Man, was a fixture at NCPC in the 80's and mid-90's -- dependable all 52 Sundays a year, got just the right amount of donut holes so all of us could sample, made enough coffee to keep all of Encinitas awake, and always had a smile and a good attitude.  When a person encounters someone that constant, that affable, a friendship is quickly formed and kept.  That was Mike to me and to many others -- a faithful friend you could set your clock by. He's probably getting the donut holes in heaven right now!!

Every church should have a "Mike Dalrymple".  When you entered his church, he let you know you were welcomed and loved.  What a legacy he leaves.          Paul and Sue Gimby Olivenhain

Mike was a gregarious man who always made you feel comfortable and important when you were with him. He had a godly legacy of service to his fellowman. I know today he is rejoicing with his Eternal Father in Heaven.

Mike was always there... He was such a steady yet quiet force at NCPC that always was giving something of himself to others.  We'll miss Mike and yet know that he is celebrating his time with the Lord!

I remember Mike as a happy person. When I would get to NCPC early on Sunday mornings to rehearse for singing the worship music, it seemed like Mike was always already there, making coffee, getting the food ready for all the upcoming services. He was very happy in what he was doing. -

Mike was a good man. When we moved from St. Louis to Encinitas and attended NCPC, I met the “Mike the donut guy”.  Mike was a faithful servant of the church, every Sunday for many years, picking up and serving donuts and coffee. When I was able to join him in his ministry, we discovered we worked for competing orthopaedic device companies, Zimmer and Howmedica. 

After Mike's orthopaedic career, he started Bagels by the Sea frequented by myself and many other loyal friends and customers on a weekly basis. He and his chef, Rick, made the best egg bagel sandwiches and salads. His coffee was second to none and this was long before the Starbucks craze. I remember Mike loving good food and the opportunity to get away from his restaurant. As a result, I would pick him up and we would go to the Brigantine in Delmar on many occasions, coupon in hand.

Mike will be missed. He was a good friend… honest, loyal, trustworthy and kind. We extend to you and your family our deepest sympathy at this most difficult time. We pray that God would use fond memories of your Dad to comfort you and bring you the peace that only He can give. How wonderful it is to know that Mike is experiencing that same comfort and peace with his Heavenly Father right now and for all of eternity.
