Michael Patterson Reddy

A native Oklahoman raised partially there and in Texas, spent most of his life in the San Diego area. Born on Sep 10, 1945 to James and Maurine Reddy, who have predeceased him, Mike had one brother, Robert, who also has predeceased Mike.

After graduating from Hoover High School in 1963, Mike spent a year at Mesa College before joining the Marines, where he spent a year in Vietnam and three and a half years as a Marine Corps Recruiter, being discharged in a little less than 9 years as a Gunnery Sergeant (E-7).

Mike spent 40 plus years in the in the insurance business, working with companies such as business Men's Assurance (BMA) and Farmers Insurance, serving as an Agent, Agency owner, Sales Trainer, and the last number of years Mike was an Independent Agent working mostly in the Final Expense and Medicare areas. He was a founder of the Senior Advocate Network, Past Commandant of the Marine Corps League in Chula Vista, and a Past President of the San Diego Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers.

Mike is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen, son Mike (Lynn) in El Cajon, and niece, Tina, of Sylmar, Ca. Mike always said that God's greatest gifts to him that brought him his most happiness, joy, satisfaction, and pride, were his wife and son."

A visitation for Mike will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in The Magnolia Room at Glen Abbey Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A Funeral Mass will occur Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 7669 Girard Ave, San Diego, CA 92037. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122.
