Milagros Mejia Vida

Milagros Mejia Vida was peacefully born to eternal life on July 30, 2026 at the age of 89 amidst family in her own home. She is survived by her only child, Catherine Vida Malik (Amanuel) and 4 grandsons- Kidane (Emily), Yohanes, Hadembes, and Mikiel. She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Conrado Vida, and her parents, Ponciano and Anastacia Mejia.

Mila was known by family and friends for her hearty laugh and ready smile. Her generosity to family, friends and charitable organizations spanned the globe. She had a passion for beautiful things whether clothing, art, jewelry, music, plants or food displays. She enjoyed singing, especially in choirs at church and in the community. She was an avid reader and a passionate gardener with an intense regard for any kind of orchid. She was an accomplished cook who taught both youth in home economics and vocational high school and adults in classes for Asian cooking and fancy decorated cakes. Her artistic flair was shared with family and friends through the flower arrangements she made for weddings and other special occasions.

Milagros resided in San Diego, California and enjoyed traveling the world. Viewing Visitation will be held at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902, on August 11, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Catholic Church, 990 Saturn Blvd, San Diego, CA 92154, on August 12, 2026, starting at 10:00 am. A Committal Service will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902, US, on August 12, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm.
