

He was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1922. His parent's names were Ada (Conner) Sweet and Jay Sweet. He was one of 8 children which included five boys and three girls. Morrie has one surviving brother, Robert (Bob) Sweet who now lives in Pheonix, AZ.
Morrie's greatest honor was when he was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart during his service in WWII. He was wounded by a bomb blast in 1945 and was Honorably Discharged.
He was married to Margaret Irene (Milroy) Sweet for 59 years until her passing in 2003.
He lived In Chula Vista, CA for over 60 years and started Morrie's Glass Shop in 1958, he semi-retired in 1987. Morrie continued to do small jobs around Chula Vista and National City up until a few months before he passed.
He is survived by his two daughter's Judith Sweet and Patricia Franklin. His four grandchildren, Melissa Shell (Kevin), Kimberly Sweet (Rob), Nicole Brock (Kris), and Brent Franklin; also two great-grandchildren Olivia McCarthy and Evangeline Brock, and his beloved dog Daisy.
