“Get me a Hershey bar”. It sounds like your mom was full of spunk and about as unpredictable as possible. Who goes to Stanford, becomes a gunner specialist in a woman’s’ volunteer army until and and then serves in Social Services for multiple years? Sounds like someone who wanted to take the “Road Less Travelled” if you ask me.

Very sweet lady

HI Kathy, its Angela. Rob passes me his Facebook page with the message about your Mom. I am so sorry to hear that she has passed away. I know the sadness you must feel; I experienced it myself. Rob and I send you sympathy and prayers to you and your family.

Wow. What a beautiful woman. I think you look like her. And in that beautiful uniform, a real hero. U can also celebrate the moment. Know she is safe! Attached is a prayer by Karl Rahner, a giant in 20th century Catholic Theology. I believe his words!
“The great and sad mistake of many people is to imagine that those whom death has taken, leave us. They do not leave us. They remain. Where are they? In Darkness? Oh no! It is we who are in darkness. We do not see them, but they see us. Their eyes, Radiant with glory, are fixed on our eyes. O infinite consolation! Though invisible to us, our dead are not absent…They are living near us, transfigured…into light, into power into love”
-Rob Morris
Thinking of you, Kathy. My mom was born in 1922 and also a WAVE during WWII. Your mom lived a long, incredible life…may she rest in peace.

May your family find peace and comfort in the long and happy life Nancy had. She was a wonderful woman and loved her family so much. Your bond was heartwarming to see. I so enjoyed meeting Nancy through the Moffett family reunion and learning so much from her about the Moffett family of whom she was extremely proud. The times I spent with Nancy and Claude were so much fun and I will always remember them with great joy and fondness. RIP Nancy

I am so glad we got to make so many family memories together.
Life will be so different now without you a part of it with us.
You showed us strength, perseverance, and wit. Your heart and spirit led you through a very full life.
You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We wouldn't be where we are today if it wasnt for you.
Thank you Mom. We love you!
