

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Naomi Bartolome Mallari was no exception. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Naomi will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Naomi’s life journey began on July 5, 1943. She first greeted the world in Paco, Manila, Philippines. Her parents' names were Domingo and Evangelina Garcia Bartolome. She was raised in Cavite, Philippines along with five brothers Aristobolo, Neftali, Solomon, Trofimo, Noel and one sister Dorotea.
Naomi was a typical teenager who had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Cavite High School in 1959, then attended Far Eastern University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1965.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Naomi experienced that with Job Semper Mallari and the couple exchanged wedding vows on November 2, 1968. The wedding took place in Unida Caridad also in Cavite, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Naomi was committed to making her new family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Naomi was blessed with four children, Leah, Epher, Ephraim and Jeremias. Naomi worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs, raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later on, Naomi was blessed with the gift of one grandchild, Isabelle.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Naomi enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Naomi worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Naomi worked as a Teacher for 15 years.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Naomi enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including arranging flowers, singing and bowling and playing Bandarria. She was usually willing to share her interests with others. One of Naomi’s accomplishments was being a youth choir member and director (UCCPH).
Naomi Bartolome Mallari left us on May 20, 2012. She passed away at Friendship Manor in National City, California. The cause of death was due to complications of Pneumonia and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). She is survived by her husband Job; her daughter Leah and son-in-law Rommer; Epher and daughter-in-law Sherry; Ephraim and daughter-in-law Denise, son Jeremias and daughter-in-law Roselle and her granddaughter Isabelle. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Service was held at United Church of Christ Paradise Hills in San Diego, California on May 29, 2012. Naomi was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Mortuary and Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
So this is Naomi’s life, the sum of the woman that she became. Simply stated, Naomi was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Naomi leaves behind her a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Naomi Bartolome Mallari touched will always remember her with a smile.
