Born on March 1, 1957 to the late Guadalupe and Juan Hernandez. Nelva Duran, 68, passed away November 17, 2025, in National City, California. Michy, as she was called by family and friends, was born in Tijuana, Mexico. She was one of 9 siblings, and married Victor Duran in 1978.
As a supportive wife and loving mother of 3 children, Michy and Victor met at San Ysidro teen post, fell in love then got married at just 21 and 24 years old. Michy worked at West Tech Industries, until retirement. She had an endearing impact on everyone who met her, and this has been especially apparent and comforting to the family through the outpouring of love they have received.
Michy will always be remembered for her bright soul, that loved all life. She had a huge love for Jesus and growing her faith, her way of being, and most importantly her family. Michy never let herself leave the house without getting ready. She would dye her hair every so often and loved putting on lipstick and jewelry. Michy never went a day without asking one of her granddaughters to bring her a cayman jack specifically from her daughter Bianca's mini fridge. She enjoyed
watching soccer games, drinking wine and spending time with her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Duran, sons Victor jr and Cesar, her daughter Bianca, three beautiful grandchildren: Isabella, Brianna and Christian, and let us not forget the families fur-babies Max and Teddy. Her memory will also be cherished by her sisters, Martha, Rocio and Gina; as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins, goddaughter, mother and brother/sister in laws and friends.
She is accompanied in heaven by her parents Guadalupe and Juan Hernandez.
