

Norberto was born on October 29, 1943, in Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines. He answered the call to serve his adopted country when he enlisted in the United States Navy on September 1, 1967, as a Steward. He served in Vietnam aboard the USS Duluth LPD-6, participating in one campaign and earning the Combat Action Ribbon for his bravery.
Following his service in Vietnam, Norberto re-enlisted as a dental technician and was stationed in various commands in San Diego, California for the rest of his service, which includes Naval Station San Diego, MCRD San Diego, and Point Loma. He proudly retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of honorable service, rising to the esteemed rank of Chief Petty Officer. His commitment to his country did not end there—he accepted a position at Naval Special Warfare Group I as a Defense Travel Administrator, where he completed an additional 20 years of government service.
In his leisure time, Norberto found great joy in many hobbies. He loved spending time at the casino, tending to his garden, fishing, and bowling. These pastimes brought him relaxation and many cherished memories with family and friends.
Norberto is preceded in death by his wife, Zosima Jaime and is survived by four sons: Jerry, Hector, Rex, and Eugene and daughter in law Jessica. He also leaves behind three adoring grandchildren—Annabelle, Xavier, and Stella—who brought endless joy to his life.
Norberto's life was a testament to duty, family, and the simple pleasures that make life meaningful. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902, US, on July 22, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
