Born on June 6, 1942, in Bacolor, Pampanga, Philippines, in the barrio of San Vicente, Jun was the second son of Francisca and Panfilo Calma Sr. Throughout his life, he exemplified strength, humility, and an unwavering dedication to his family.
Jun married the love of his life, Carmencita, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and joy. With deep devotion and a steadfast commitment to one another, they raised three children and lovingly helped care for their four grandchildren. Their home was a place of warmth and welcome, where family and friends were always received with open arms.
Jun and Carmencita extended their kindness and generosity far beyond their immediate family, touching the lives of relatives and friends in countless meaningful ways. He believed deeply in “paying it forward,” a principle he lived by through acts of kindness, mentorship, and selfless service. He found fulfillment in helping others succeed, never expecting anything in return.
Through this example, Jun will be remembered as a role model who instilled in his children and all who knew him the values of generosity, empathy, and community. His compassion and selflessness will always be remembered.
Jun is survived by his daughter, Abigail, and his two sons, Ashley and Dominic. He was a loving father-in-law to Cristina and Christine, and a proud grandfather to Branden, John Luca, Olivia, and James Christian.
He will be remembered for his generosity, gentle spirit, and quiet strength. His legacy lives on in the relationships he nurtured and the many lives he touched.
