Patricia Ann Hedderson Flores

Patricia Ann Hedderson Flores was born on February 14th, 1952. She first greeted the world in Brooklyn, New York. Her parents' names were George Edward Hedderson and Anne Patricia Hedderson. She grew up in Chula Vista, California with seven siblings named Elizabeth, Katherine, Eileen, Michael, John, Nancy and Margaret. She attended and graduated from Marion High School in 1970.

While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Patricia worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Patricia was blessed with two daughters, named Randi Summer and Kristi Marie. She worked hard toward raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment. Patricia was later blessed with the gift of three grandsons, Frankie, Kristian and Gabryel.

Fortunately, Patricia enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Patricia worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Patricia’s primary occupation was working as a Counseling Secretary for the Sweetwater Union High School District for over 22 years.

Patricia enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including road trips. Patricia enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things.

Like all people, Patricia had her favorite things in life. She absolutely loved spending time with her family. She loved her family so much that she made a hobby out of them. She spent her free time taking her grandsons to the park or to the movies. She also enjoyed going to lunch with her mom and dad and going shopping with her daughters. She was always up for anything that involved her family.

Patricia Flores left us on April 12th, 2011. She passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family after fighting a brave battle against breast cancer. She is survived by her daughters Randi Castro and Kristi Alcala; parents George Hedderson and Anne Hedderson; siblings Elizabeth Salcedo, Katherine Moses, Eileen Marsden, Michael Hedderson, John Hedderson, Nancy Atkinson and Margaret Parr; grandsons Frankie Castro, Gabryel Alcala and Kristian Butler; sixteen nieces and nephews; and eight great nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass was held on April 26, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Chula Vista, California.
