Mr. Paul Reinhardt Vogel was born on August 20, 1921 to William Henry and Grace Lillian Vogel. He was raised in his home state of New Jersey where he attended and graduated from South River High School.
At a young age, Mr. Vogel met fell in love with his sweetheart, Hazel Elizabeth Ekdahl. The couple happily exchanged wedding vows on May 16, 1942 in San Francisco, California. The two would later be blessed with four children Paul, Starr, Del and Dawn as well as the joy of seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Vogel began his career by enlisting in the United States Navy where proudly served his country for 26 years. During his enlistment, he saw action for WWII and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. After retirement from the Navy, he worked as an Electrician at Solar for 21 years
Mr. Vogel enjoyed his leisure time by gardening and being active with The First United Methodist Church of National City for over 40 years.
Mr. Paul Reinhardt Vogel passed away on December 15, 2011. He passed away at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City, California. He was 90 years old. He is survived by his loving wife Hazel Vogel; his children Del Vogel and Dawn Vogel ; as well as many other loved ones and friends. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Service was held at The Little Chapel of the Roses on December 20, 2011. Mr. Vogel was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
