

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Paulino J. Pascual was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Paulino will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Paulino’s life journey began on June 22, 1926. He first greeted the world in Manila, Philippines. His parents' names were Rufo Pascual and Luisa Bustos Jordan. He was raised in Manila with seven siblings, sisters Salud Caligayahan, Juana Pagsisihan, Amparo P. Bautista and brothers Fernando J. Pascual, Mariano J. Pascual, Leonardo J. Pascual and Generoso J. Pascual. Paulino and his family shared many special life experiences over the years.
Paulino was a typical teenager who had a fairly happy high school experience, making the critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from MAPA High School in 1944. He later continued his education by attending Philippine Commerce College where he earned his AA in Accounting in 1964.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Paulino experienced that with his sweetheart Estrella Torres Fajardo and the couple exchanged wedding vows on October 14, 1956. The wedding took place at San Felipe Neri Catholic Church in Manila, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Paulino was committed to making his new wife happy. The couple shared many loving year of marriage.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Paulino was blessed with three children, daughter Elenita Cabrera and sons Ronald F. Pascual and Ruel F. Pascual. Paulino worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment.
Later in life, Paulino was blessed with the gift of eight grandchildren, Rhona Pascual, Rovie Pascual, Elaine Pascual, Carol Cabrera, Erica Pascual, Juli Pascual, Julin Pascual and Amy Cabrera and two great- grandchildren, Rojay Pascual and Royce Pascual.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Paulino enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Paulino worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. Paulino worked at Philippine American Life Insurance as an Underwriter/Clerk for 32 years. He retired at the age of 55.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Paulino enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including swimming, walking, playing basketball, playing chess, reading, traveling and fishing. He was always willing to share his interests with others.
Paulino Pascual left us on July 12, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife Estrella Pascual; his children Elenita Cabrera, Ronald Pascual and Ruel Pascual; his grandchildren & great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A funeral mass was held for Paulino at St. Rita Catholic Church in San Diego on July 25, 2011. Paulino was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Paulino was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Paulino leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Paulino J. Pascual touched will always remember him with a smile.
