Petar Michan Emge

He is survived by his wife, Anita; his sister, Mary; his son, Derrick; his daughter, Tiffani; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Petar will be remembered with deep respect for a life shaped by steady work, quiet brilliance, and a spirit that never stopped reaching beyond the ordinary. Along with son Derrick, he founded EMCOM Electronic Inc., where he worked for more than thirty years, and he was also on the founding committee of the Air & Space Museum.

Adventurous at heart, he found joy in pursuits that lifted him into wide-open skies—flying and hang gliding among them—carrying with him a sense of courage and curiosity.

A faithful man, Petar’s devotion was evident in the time and care he gave to his church and community. He was a member of Skyline Church, where he assisted in teaching the Entrepreneur for Christ class, offering guidance with the humility of someone who served for the good of others rather than for recognition. His generosity and selflessness showed in the way he made room for people—encouraging, listening, and giving what he could, whether through practical help or steady presence.

Petar was also involved in the Coronado Men’s Connection, and he led the Skyline singles group, bringing people together through shared life and fellowship. In those gatherings—and in the simple pleasures of hiking, biking, and dancing—Petar’s gift as a mentor was felt in the way he welcomed others, strengthened community, and helped people feel seen and valued.

Petar was cherished, and his absence will be felt by all who knew him and were touched by his example of faithful service, hard work, and generous devotion.
