

the hospitals in San Fernando City, La Union, Philippines but he grew up in Bauang, La Union. He was the third child of Cornelio and Mauricia Agbulos, growing up with his siblings, Lillian, Vilma, Edward, Charlie, Nannette, and Charlotte. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and their bonds were unbreakable.
Initially, Peter pursued engineering studies in the Philippines, but fate had a different plan. A poster advertising the Navy caught his eyes with the tempting promise, "Join the Navy, see the world." Peter and his friends decided to take the placement exam for fun. To everyone's surprise, Peter scored among the top, so he joined the United States Navy in 1974.With the encouragement of his mother and the promise of a brighter future in America, Peter embarked on his journey. Although hesitant at first, he soon embraced this new chapter of his life. In the Navy, he honed his skills and became a dedicated corpsman, as a radiology technician specializing in CT Scan. Peter found fulfillment and joy in his work, cherishing
every moment spent in service to his country and comrades.
During his time in the Navy, Peter and Andrea married, and together, they lived the American Dream. Their adventurous life led them to various places across the country, where they created lasting memories. Their eldest son, Christopher, was born in Oakland,California, while their youngest son, Kevin, entered the world in Abington, Pennsylvania. In 1994, Peter retired from the Navy after putting in 20 years, but his passion for serving others remained undiminished. He continued his career in civil service at the Naval Medical Center San Diego or otherwise known as Balboa Hospital, still doing the work he loved. His dedication and commitment to his job were unwavering, leaving an indelible mark on those
he cared for & those he worked with. He was an excellent leader & follower who is known for his humorous nature.
Peter Hidalgo Agbulos was not only a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother but also a respected friend to many. His kindness, strength, and unwavering support were cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and family bonds that will endure through the generations. Peter had the special joy of witnessing his sons’ weddings (Kevin to Carlynnea in 2017 then Christopher to Saori in 2018) watching his granddaughter Ayla and grandson Koa grow before he left this earth, adding yet another layer of warmth to his remarkable life.
