surrounded by family and love.
Born in Wisconsin, Peter lived a life filled with passion, intelligence, humor, and resilience. He was a pilot, an author, an aviation enthusiast, and an avid sailor who found both adventure and peace on the water. Whether in the skies or at sea, Peter was drawn to exploration, freedom, and the joy of the journey. He was also
someone who never hesitated to share a story, an opinion, or a laugh. He had a strong spirit and a memorable presence that touched many throughout his life.
Peter's greatest blessing was his family. In his final months, he found comfort and joy in spending time with loved ones, moments that brought him deep peace and happiness. Those who knew him will
remember his sharp wit, his determination, and the love he carried for the people closest to him.
Peter is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his children; his granddaughters; extended family; and many dear friends.
While his passing leaves a tremendous void, his family takes comfort in their faith and in knowing he is now at peace and in God's hands.
Family and friends are warmly invited to gather for a memorial service and viewing on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Glenn Abbey Memorial Park & Mortuary. A viewing will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by the memorial service from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
A private graveside service will also be held in Cumberland, Wisconsin, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Saint Anthony Abbot Catholic Cemetery, where Peter will be laid to rest beside his parents.
Memorial donations may be made in Peter's honor to the San Diego Air & Space Museum, honoring his lifelong passion for aviation, aeronautics, and the wonder of flight. As a pilot, Peter dedicated much of his life to the skies and found great joy in sharing his knowledge, experiences, and love of aerospace with others. He proudly volunteered at the museum as a docent, where he inspired visitors through his enthusiasm for aviation history, innovation, and exploration. His love for flight, learning, and service to others will remain part of the legacy he leaves behind
