

He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 19 in 1945. His career spanned 30 years of honorable service and 3 wars (WWII, Korean and Vietnam). In 1954 he married his high school sweetheart, Alegria M. Mandapat. In 1959, they would immigrate to the United States after Prudente was given orders to Chase Field, Beeville, Texas. The Navy brought these two and their family all over the United States, to include San Diego, Washington D.C., and Maryland. It was in Maryland that they would spend the majority of their lives together, raising their five children. However, it was in California that they would spend the remainder of their retirement together.
Prudente is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alegria, and his sons; Domitito M. Baysic and Prudente M.Baysic.
He is survived by children, Ofelia Baysic Jepsen (Dennis Jepsen); Fay Baysic Wahle (Phillip Wahle); and Faustino M. Baysic (Debra L. Baysic)
He is also survived by grandchildren: Jacob Allen Jepsen, Joshua Adam Jepsen, Joseph Alexander Jepsen, Samatha May Baysic, Prudente Parker Baysic, Faustino William Baysic, and Allegria Fay Wahle.
