

Ramona F. Sahagun was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Ramona will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Ramona’s life journey began on September 1, 1920. She first greeted the world in San Felipe, Zambales, Philippines. Her parents’ names were Florencio and Florencia Fortin.

Ramona’s life journey began on September 1, 1920. She first greeted the world in San Felipe, Zambales, Philippines. Her parents’ names were Florencio and Florencia Fortin.
Ramona grew up in the Philippines with four siblings. She had a sister, Casimira, and three brothers, Eusebio, Arcadio and Severino. Ramona was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced and shared many life experiences over the years.
On October 26, 1946 Ramona exchanged wedding vows with Arturo Mangosing Sahagun at the Philippine Independent Church of Zambales, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Ramona was committed to making her new family happy.
Ramona worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Ramona was blessed with three children, Priscilla Sahagun Fontecha, Teresita Sahagun Abad and Sonia Sahagun Fulinara. Another blessing for Ramona was the gift of 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Ramona enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were cooking, gardening and sewing. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Ramona passed away on December 6, 2011 at Poway Health Center. She is survived by husband Arturo Sahagun, children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A funeral service was held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel in Bonita, California, on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Ramona was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Ramona was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Ramona leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Ramona F. Sahagun.
