

Raul Haro was born to Francisco Montalvo Haro and Ana Maria Sandoval Sandoval. He was the last of 4 brothers and 3 sisters: Elias, Irene, Rosa, Guadalupe, Fidel, Sergio, Nicolasa, Horacio.
Raul arrived and lived in San Diego, California in the month of January 1975. One day in July 1977 by chance he met a young lady that one day would become his wife. Her name is Gloria Alicia Lopez Anaya.
On January 1, 1979 Raul and Gloria made a loving decision to get married; he asked Mr. Jesus Alcala Lopez and Mrs. Gloria Alicia Anaya Lopez for their daughters hand in marriage. Raul and Gloria got married at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in the city of Chula Vista on November 29, 1980.
In the same city of Chula Vista, their family was blessed with two wonderful boys Raul Antonio Haro born on December 9, 1981 and Robert Vincent Haro born on August 28, 1986. Even though Raul and Gloria did not have any daughters they loved and cared for their niece Crystal M. Garcia born on June 9, 1985, which is like their Daughter.
Raul worked at Southwestern College for Twenty Four years as a cook and revered as "The Chef of Southwestern College Cafeteria". Due to the unexpected diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer, Raul was forced to take early Retirement on June 15, 2010. The staff and students of Southwestern College showed their love and appreciation for Raul with touching good bye celebration at his retirement party. Raul felt honored and humbled at this recognition in which he was titled the "KING OF THE KITCHEN". He was so much very loved by all the college staff, students and co-workers.
Raul is survived by a large family which consists of his wife and two sons, brothers and sisters, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, friends and co-workers.
In June 2005 Raul and his family became Christian followers and praised the Lord Jesus Christ at the Torre Fuerte Church. Raul proud fully became the Church Usher. Raul loved to sing and praise the Lord on every service day. He truly dedicated his life to the Lord and enjoyed being a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was proud to assist the Pastor Jose Ledezma in all that pertained to the blessings of the church.
Raul loved to Cook for his family and friends and was famous for making the best Menudo, Rice and Chiles Rellenos.
Every year Raul enjoyed going camping with his family and church friends at the Colorado River. He loved to watch his son Raul catch the most fish and the biggest fish at the river.
Raul was working on a Goal, that he almost accomplished, which was to get his GED. He went to school throughout the years and made it to the 11th grade, Raul was proud and dedicated to study and to accomplishing his goals.
