Barbara and Family,

Linda and I extend our deepest sympathy on the passing of Ray.

Ray was one of the good guys around here.  I always enjoyed talking to him about our community and about national defense issues.  His sharing of past events and experiences at encore Bonita has helped me successfully overcome many negative issues in this community.
    
I am going to miss hearing his laugh and seeing him in quiet enjoyment with a beer in his hand.  It was an honor to have known him; and I still feel his presence and will always have fond memories of him.

Dearest Barbara,
My heart is heavy for you as you grieve the loss of your beloved Ray. You and Raymond were the perfect couple and you had the kind of marriage that I always dreamed I would have.
He left so suddenly but please know that Death Has No Power. I am sure that Right Now Ray is looking down and smiling as he is in the presence of Jesus. The Love that you gave him in this life continues with him in the next.
One Day we will all be together again in the Presence of Jesus. This is what we look forward to as Christians. We look forward to that Big Family Reunion in Heaven!!!
My prayers are with you, David, Linda and Carol and your Grandchildren at this Time.  Remember all the Love that You were able to give to one another for 60 years and that Love will ALWAYS be inside your heart and Ray will always be with you.

Lord, I come to you now for my friend Barbara. I come to you to ask that you provide her and her family strength and comfort in this time of deep need. Their hurt and grief run so deep. I feel so much pain for them, but I can only imagine how hard this time must be for them. I pray that you help them maintain their faith in you during this difficult time.
I know you can be our greatest shoulder, but I also ask that you remain their biggest provider. It is a time when daily life can be so burdensome. Please provide patience from others as they work through their grief. Surround them with understanding so that they can work through all the emotions this loss brought up. In this time when so many things get lost - bills need to be paid, homework needs to be done, etc. - allow those around them to help keep regular life on track.
And Lord, allow me to be a comfort to my friend. Help me be what they need during this time. Provide me with the comforting words, the kindness in my heart, the patience to allow the grief to take it's course. Let me be part of your light and comfort during this time.
I pray these things in your holy name. Amen.
