Raymond Darrell Young, of Coronado CA, 74, was born in Keokuk, Iowa on December 15, 1948 and expired on October 9, 2023 at 0759 at Sharp Hospital in Coronado, CA.
He is survived by his wife Georgetta Young of Coronado, CA, a son Raymond Young (Ana Young) of San Diego, a daughter Donetta Mercer of Kewanee, Il, a daughter Michele Young (Frank Thomas) of Brazoria, TX, a daughter Victoria Gregory of Upton, CA, several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister Martha Kittaman of Wyoming, Il. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Young and Edith Eaton, a brother, Robert Young, a sister, Charlotte Copple.
He joined the Navy 12-29-1965 and a retired 10-31-1985. He retired at the rank E7 TMC, Torpedo Mates Chief. He was a Cad Cam instructor for San Diego City College for many years. He enjoyed off roading in the mountains and desert. He enjoyed building computers. He will be greatly missed.
