Rebeca Armas Torres was born in Guadalajara-Jalisco Mexico on August 20th 1928. She is fourth born of seven children. In 1940 the family moved to Tijuana, Mexico and started a restaurant called "La India Bonità" which did very well. Of the many regular customers was a Gabriel Torres. He asked Pablo for permission to date his daughter, Rebeca. In 1946 they moved to the United States to live in San Ysidro, California. In 1955 they got married, and bought a home in Imperial Beach in 1958. They had three children.
In l996 she retired from being a driver for seniors at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed traveling with her friends from Saint Charles Catholic Church. Rebecca was a member from 1958 and was involved as a Guadalupanas, choir, the annual Spring Bazaars and many more positions. Rebeca had 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and more on the way.
