Remedios Quebada Camero

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Remedios (Remy) Quebada Camero on June 10, 2026. She is survived by her loving family and her sister Edith. Remy was born in Bolinao, Philippines on July 8, 1938. She lived a life marked by strength, deep devotion and love for her family.

Remy was married to Merardo and was a loving mother to seven children. Che (Joey Fulgencio), Pinky (Toto Raquel), Imee, Bing, Larry (Marimar), Tom (Bea) and Mayette (Genesis Legaspi). She was a cherished grandmother to Janelle (Chris Ward), Jovani (Sam), Jesse (Vyvy), Jordan, Jazzy, Justin, Jaylen, Jeremy, Tommy, Sofie, Mia, Zoe and Luca. Remy became GG to Logan, Isla, Ava, Myles, Madyn and Mason.

Remy was an elementary school teacher in the Philippines until she and her husband, a Civil Engineer, immigrated with their family to San Diego 50 years ago where her husband worked as a building inspector for the City of Carlsbad.

Remy touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. She captivated anyone she encountered with her cheerful attitude and her beautiful smile with those deep dimples. Her selflessness and generous spirit will be remembered forever. Remy was all about the wellness and happiness of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and a bond that lives on with her family that will be passed on to the next generation. Mama, Grandma and GG’s presence will forever be missed greatly.
