Reynaldo Metierre Ella

Reynaldo Metierre Ella was born on December 25, 1946, and passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 79. Born in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States at a young age, Rey never forgot where he came from. He carried with him a deep pride in his family, his hometown of Lucban, and the humble beginnings that shaped the man he became. Those values stayed with him throughout his life and could be seen in the way he worked, cared for and loved his family.

For more than two decades, Rey was honored to serve his country in the U.S Navy, followed by more than twenty-five years with the U.S Postal Service. He approached both with the same quiet dedication, strength, and sense of responsibility that defined him. Through years of hard work and devotion to those he served, he built a life grounded in wisdom, humility and a genuine care for the people around him. After retirement, Rey continued to embrace life in his own way. He found profound happiness in the everyday moments and, above all, in being with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly fifty years, Cornelia; his two daughters and his four grandchildren.

To his family near and far, Rey was a deeply devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was the kind of person whose presence brought comfort and happiness. He made people laugh, made them feel welcome, and gave them the quiet reassurance that someone was always looking out for them. His love was steady, his humor genuine, and his presence let you know he cared for you. Those who knew Rey well will remember the light he brought into the room. He was easygoing, knew how to enjoy life and never needed an excuse to have a good time. He found joy in fishing with his grandson, golfing, and working on his cars. He was a wonderful cook and his talent in the kitchen was matched only by his generosity and joy in feeding those he loved. Rey adored his grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them. He loved to dance, sing karaoke, travel and simply be surrounded by family and friends. His enthusiasm for life made celebrations brighter and gatherings feel more complete.

Rey leaves behind more than memories. He leaves behind the love he gave so freely, the laughter he shared, the lessons he taught by example and the many lives he touched along the way. His legacy will live on through his family and his close circle of lifelong friends who will carry his stories, his incredible humor, and his love with them. He is deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever part of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
