

Ricardo Alejandro Quinones was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Ricardo will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Ricardo Alejandro Quinones was born on October 4, 1937 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was the son of Fidel and Herlinda Quinones. Ricardo grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas.
On September 15, 1979 Ricardo exchanged wedding vows with Sylvia at Little Chapel of the Roses of Bonita, California. Empathic and loyal, Ricardo was committed to making his new family happy. Ricardo worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Ricardo was blessed with two children, one son, Richard Quinones and one daughter Alicia Peterson.
Fortunately, Ricardo enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Ricardo worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was Aircraft Production Superintendent. He was employed for years. Ricardo always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Ricardo was a U.S. Navy veteran. He received several awards recognizing him for his service, including a National Defense Service Medal, Battle Efficiency Award and Navy Occupation Service Medal. His fellow sailors viewed him as a brother in arms and knew that he was as much a part of their family as their loved ones back home.
Ricardo enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were Bar-B-Queing, singing, golf, golf and golf. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Ricardo passed away on March 21, 2017 at Kaiser Hospital from heart failure. He is survived by his wife Sylvia Quinones, his children Rick Quinones and Alicia Peterson, one grandson Ricardo Rivera and his granddaughter Emma Grace Peterson, and his sister Rosa Hernandez. Services were held at the Little Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, California. Ricardo was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
Simply stated, Ricardo was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Ricardo leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships, a loving family and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Ricardo A. Quinones.
