Richard Anthony, born on January 12, 1964, in the sunny city of San Diego, California, passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2026, after a courageous battle with numerous health conditions. Richard was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, known for his warm smile and engaging spirit that could light up any room.

Richard was the cherished son of Glenna and Vince Jacket, both of whom predeceased him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and resilience that he carried throughout his life. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 37 years, Rinnah, his loving son Wesley, and his dear brother Scott.

A graduate of Hilltop High School in Chula Vista, Richard embarked on a vibrant and varied career journey. At merely 18, he ventured into entrepreneurship by starting a sign company. His adventurous spirit took him to Alaska, where he worked as a bank teller for a year before returning to his roots in San Diego. Over the years, Richard explored numerous fields, from electronics to the tire industry, ATM and locksmith services, and ultimately found his niche in designing and installing awnings. Each role he undertook was marked by dedication and a commitment to excellence.

Richard's life was enriched by his passions and hobbies. In his youth, he was actively involved in sports, a zest that later transformed into a love for golf. However, his truest passion was playing the drums, a skill he began honing at a very young age. He started playing in a band with his father in his 20's. He met his wife Rinnah in the mid 80's when she joined the band for a local talent competition. Together with this family band, they performed with four other local bands throughout San Diego County for the next 30 years. Music was not just an interest for Richard; it was a profound part of his identity.

Beyond his achievements and interests, Richard will be remembered for his genuine friendship and the ease with which he connected with others. His warm smile often invited strangers to become friends, and his kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
