Richard A. Pike, 81, of Chula Vista, California, passed away on September 23, 2026. Born on February 7, 1945, Richard lived a life marked by steady devotion to family, quiet strength, and a gentle presence that will be deeply missed.

Richard joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965 and served during the Vietnam War. He carried that chapter of service with the same calm dignity that shaped the rest of his life, offering his commitment without fanfare and earning the respect of those who knew him.

For 49 years, Richard was married to Inez Pike, building a home grounded in loyalty and care. He was the proud father of four children—Nicole, Derek, Rodney, and Richard—and his family continued to grow to include many grandchildren and one great grandchild. In the everyday moments of family life, Richard’s kind-hearted nature spoke most clearly: present, dependable, and quietly supportive.

Richard found simple joys in the things he loved. He enjoyed football and baseball and was a devoted fan of the San Diego Chargers and the San Diego Padres.
