His Ceremony of Life celebration will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018 at The Little Chapel of Roses, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
Funeral services will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4th at Glen Abbey Memorial Park & Mortuary with Pastor Rick Rojas officiating. Burial will follow on Wednesday, September 5th at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.
Rick was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Edward and Delores Seaton on October 10th, 1950. He graduated from Harding High School and married Bonnie Seaton on June 28th, 1985, in The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, NV.
Rick served for over 20 years in the United States Navy and began working for Immigration Naturalization Services in 1996 at the San Ysidro Port of Entry as an Immigration Inspector. He ultimately became the Physical Security Specialist for U. S. Customs and Border Protection, working for the organization for 22 years. His awards include: Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards),
Combat Action Ribbon, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy “E” Ribbon (three awards), Navy Expert Rifle Medal, Navy Expert Pistol Medal. Rick enjoyed trips to the desert, camping, hiking and Jeeping as well as a San Diego sports fan.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Delores Seaton and step mother Genny Seaton.
Rick is survived by wife Bonnie Seaton; children Chris Seaton, Jeremy Clifton, Amber Seaton; sister Linda Knight, brother Donald Seaton, and brother David Seaton; granddaughter Kalissa Seaton, and twin grandsons Blake and Jaxon Talley.
Pallbearers will be Chris Seaton and Jeremy Clifton, followed by two U.S. Navy and two U.S. Customs and Border Protection honor guards.
