

Rosalina Cuyugan Buchanan, age 74, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Chula Vista, CA. She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, John, their two children, four grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers.
Rosalina was the second-born of nine children, born in Angeles City, Philippines, where she grew up alongside her siblings. She attended Angeles Institute of Technology and later worked as a CNA and Imaging Assistant having provided compassionate care to those she served. She enjoyed singing, dancing and spending time with her family…especially her grandchildren. Most of all, she cherished bringing her family together through her passion of cooking and baking, whether it was teaching her grandchildren how to make traditional Filipino dishes or having a warm meal ready to enjoy. She was adored by her community and deeply loved by her family. As a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Rosalina’s legacy of love, warmth, and togetherness will live on forever.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at 12:30 p.m. on February 24, 2026 at Glen Abbey Memorial Park located at 3838 Bonita Rd, Bonita, CA 91902 by RSVP only.
