

It is with great sadness that the family of Russell “Jack” Taylor announce his passing. He was born on November 7, 1932 to his parents Edith Boldre and Russell Taylor in Jackson, Michigan. He passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the age of 87.\
As a young man, Jack served in the Army for 2 years and installed the first colored televisions at Walter Reed Army Hospital. Later in life, Jack was a renowned businessman and owner of a Curtis Mathis TV shop with his first wife, Joyce, in Chula Vista. He proudly managed his office for 45 years.
He loved his family dearly, especially his late wife, Katrina. Jack enjoyed travelling, going to Padres games, talking business, going to conventions, fishing, and visiting the zoo and other theme parks.
Jack is survived and forever remembered by his wife, Katrina Farrar; his children: Linda Durbin, Brian Taylor, and Julie Zumstein; his nephew and nieces: William Butcher, Amber Villarreal, Wendy Butcher; his grandchildren: Nicole Woody, Cristine Egami, Mike Durbin, Kyle Berch, and Taylor Zumstein; his great grandchildren: Haylee Woody, Finley Berch, Noah Kelsey, Silas Egami, Avery Egami, Eve Durbin, and Lincoln Durbin.
Services will be held at Glen Abbey on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 10:00am.
